Decrease Your Cardiovascular Risk Factor with Blue and Purple

The average person’s intake of blue and purple fruit is far less than other types, but now there is new reason to increase your intake of these antioxidant powerhouses!

The American journal of Lifestyle Medicine recently published a study that found people who ate one or more serving of fruits such as grapes, blackberries, plums, and blueberries had lower levels of C-Reactive Protein (CRP) which is produced when inflammation is present in the body. Increased inflammation has been linked to increased risk of heart attack, stroke, and poor circulation.
