What is a person who takes supplements? Would he or she turn into a fish from taking too many Omega 3 capsules? Would one’s skin start turning green after taking too many fruit and vegetable pills? I know, that’s a bit off the interpretation but, what happens if we DO eat unhealthy and just supplement our daily fruits & veggie’s, fish oils and vitamins with pills?
I’m sure there are studies being done, but I for one think, like drinking alcohol – it’s all about moderation. Don’t overdo it. Don’t eat fast food all the time, don’t just rely on pizza, and as far as taking supplements when you ARE eating badly – read the labels, buy from quality sources, and when in doubt check your levels. “How?” you say – well right here. You can check you Iron levels and Vitamin D levels and even get a CBC (Complete Blood Count) done and make sure everything is on track – all on your time and on your schedule.
