Some think it’s cancer, others think it’s having a stroke…but actually, it’s Heart Disease that is the Number 1 killer in America. And you don’t have to be 50 years or older to be “eligible” for heart disease either. Just check out this unfortunate story. And it doesn’t matter if you are a male or a female either (yes woman…you are just as susceptible as men for heart complications) but don’t take my word for it – just click here. Then, if you would like, you can also check out the list of the top “killers” from the CDC.
So what can we do to help fight heart disease? Well, exercising for at least 30 minutes a day (which I actually just blogged about recently), losing the “spare tire” around your tummy, drinking at least 5 glasses of water a day, and keep your “cool” (try not to get too stressed). And lastly, get an annual exam/screening so you know exactly how you are treating your body and how well you are maintaining your heart.
